Intellectual Property and Publicity Rights
Solidpop is a community that values and respects artists’ work. We kindly request that you keep this in mind when working with us and sending us your work to collaborate with us. To help us maintain a supportive and creative environment, please ensure that all works you upload are your original ideas and do not infringe on anyone’s intellectual property or publicity rights. It is also against the law and goes against everything Solidpop stands for to steal other people’s work and claim it as your own.
Copyright law protects original ideas expressed in a tangible form, such as artwork, photographs, paintings, poems, and stories.
Trademark law protects the use of words, symbols, designs, or logos that identify and distinguish the source of goods.
Publicity rights protect an individual’s name, image, and likeness. In other words, you cannot use someone else’s identity for commercial gain without their consent.
Regarding Fair Use, it may be possible to incorporate someone else’s copyright or trademark into your work if it is considered “fair use” or qualifies as another permissible use. However, fair use is a complex concept that varies between countries, and you should consult an attorney before using it on Solidpop. Please be aware that Solidpop must follow its Notice and Takedown procedure when receiving a report of infringement.
You are responsible for the content you upload and display on Solidpop, as stated in the Solidpop User Agreement. By using the Solidpop’s website, you agree to this agreement.
Please obtain consent before using someone else’s work, whether it belongs to an individual or a large company, in connection with Solidpop. This will help us promote a supportive and inspiring environment filled with creativity and artistic genius while also ensuring that you do not infringe on anyone’s rights.
REPEAT INFRINGER POLICY: Solidpop reserves the right to disable or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe on the copyrights, trademark rights, publicity rights, or other intellectual property rights of others.
Notice and Takedown Procedure – Reports and Complaints
Solidpop respects the intellectual property rights of others and asks its users to do the same.
If you believe that your content has been used in a way that infringes on your rights, please notify Solidpop’s designated agent for complaints by sending a Notice and Takedown Report. This report should include the following information:
- An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the relevant matter;
- A description of the matter claimed to have been infringed;
- A description of where the claimed infringing content is located on the Solidpop site. URLs should be in the following form:
- Your address, telephone number, and email address;
A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law;
A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that:
- The above information is accurate;
- You are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the rights involved.
Solidpop may also suspend or terminate users who, in our opinion, deliberately misuse the copyrights, trademarks, publicity rights, or other rights of others.
